I'm John Oleniacz.
I'm excited you're here.
I'm a Philly-based 3D Character Technical Director and Animator who graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design. My ultimate goal is to apply my artistic sensibility and technical expertise in character rigging to projects larger than myself, and to bring characters to life in ways that resonate emotionally and authentically with audiences. I’m driven by the challenge of building the unseen systems that make believable performances possible, and by the opportunity to help tell stories that connect on a human level and speak to the human experience.
I love working in teams, and I enjoy stepping into producer and leadership roles as well. My work as the producer of the animated short Croaked! was recognized by the Assurdo Film Festival in Italy- a country I'm dying to return to!
Away from the computer, you might be able to find me on a paddle board, at the beach, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, tearing up the pickleball court, or playing guitar. I'm also constantly immersing myself in movies and new music, as well as taking inspiration from the people, places, and things around me.
